Horizontal Activities
Horizontal activities are activities (workpackages), which address common aspects of all or several subprojects and which will support subprojects in achieving the overall project objectives (see Figure 2.7).
Three of the horizontal activities (HA 1, HA 2 and HA 3) also focus on research and technological development and innovation; while HA 4 focuses on training.

Horizontal activity 2: Cost benefit analyses and socio-economic impact assessments
Horizontal activity 3: Dissemination and technology transfer
Horizontal activity 4: Training of graduate and postgraduate researchers
