Outline of the 4th QLIF congress in Modena 18-20 June, 2008
The fourth annual scientific congress of the QLIF project takes place during 18-20 June 2008 at the occassion of the 16th IFOAM Organic World Congress in Modena, Italy, where ISOFAR also organizes their 2nd Scientific Conference (see the 'Call for papers', pdf).
During the scientific congress, QLIF offers a series of workshops where central organic themes are highlighted during a synthesis paper written by a team of QLIF authors. Subseqently, the workshops makes room for an exhaustive, moderated discussion.
The workshops will last for 2 to 2.5 h and are intended as an opportunity for scientists, stakeholders and producers to discuss in depth the contributions that organic farming offer in a broad perspective.
A scientific committee will accompany the work on the workshops and the synthesis papers. Themes, moderators and titles of presentations will be announced on the QLIF website for these workshops.
Contributions to the ISOFAR Scientific Conference
In addition to the QLIF workshops, individual presentations from QLIF will enter the scientific programme of the ISOFAR Scientific Conference following the general
A 'Call for papers' (pdf) has now been issued and includes a conference topic on cross disciplinary themes. Papers submitted to the ISOFAR Scientific Conference will be evaluated following a peer review procedure. Deadline for submission of papers is October 15th, 2007.
